The laws surrounding data protection, copyright and privacy are important rights; however, in many areas they can be complicated and confusing. With regards to photography it has always been difficult to balance the rights of the individual with the rights of the photographer. Under GDPR a photograph of an individual is now considered their data and as such they have rights in regards to how that data is kept, used and distributed.

Privacy Policy is a satirical series of portraits featuring individuals who, for the most part (one subject is a mannequin), were aware of and consented to being photographed. However, my policy is to err on the side of caution and obscure their identities in order to protect their privacy.
